Subscription Box Brand & Non-profit
In 2018, I founded Craft + Boogie as a one-woman creative project. It quickly grew into two complementary entities: a five-star-rated subscription box business and a non-profit delivering hands-on art experiences to kids in foster care, children's hospitals, and under-resourced schools.
As Founder and Creative Director of the business, I scaled operations to serve 800+ monthly subscribers and generate more than $1.5M in revenue. I led a team of 10+ staff and contractors, designed every craft project, and oversaw digital marketing—from Squarespace site management to email campaigns and paid ads. I also managed inventory, fulfillment, and customer service, earning over 2,000 glowing reviews.
Simultaneously, I served as President of the Board for our 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm. Over five years, we delivered 25,000+ craft projects to 8,000 children through national and local partnerships, while coordinating corporate volunteer events with teams from companies like Nike and KEEN Footwear. I led strategic planning, fundraising, and volunteer engagement, and personally facilitated both in-person and virtual craft sessions to ensure our mission reached the kids who needed it most.
Together, these efforts turned a simple idea into a community-powered platform for creativity, connection, and care.

Empowering Kids Through Creative Expression and Community Support
In 2019, Oregon ranked 4th in drug and alcohol addiction but 50th in access to support. 75% of foster children entered care due to their parents' substance issues. My response was to donate art supplies, craft kits and games to kids in foster care. My mission: to provide kids with creative experiences that encouraged self-expression, boosted self-esteem, and built meaningful connections with trusted adults.
Stepping Back to Move Forward
After five incredible years of growing Craft + Boogie from the ground up, I made the difficult decision to step away in order to prioritize my family’s financial stability and my own well-being. The experience was deeply rewarding—and all-consuming—and I’m proud of everything the business and non-profit accomplished. Stepping away gave me the space to recharge and refocus my energy on the next phase of my career.
